At the Quayside of Robertson Quay, Oyster Bar & Grill Wharf is a gem if you are looking for fresh and delicious oysters. With an extensive bar menu that changes every quarterly, it is a perfect place to chill over alcohol amidst the underlying health benefits of oysters. Zinc from oysters will produce a good protein that protects liver from alcohol.
The raw oysters come in a range of condiments that will match your taste – Wasabi, Tobasco, Truffle oil, Whiskey, Chili Salt, Lemon, Shallot Vinegar and Sake. Coming from different locations around the world, there has to be one that is bound to your liking. I tried the USA Pacific ones (they were huge) and the Australian ones (smaller) which I personally found to be sweeter.
The Fried Oyster Balls are delicious and one of my favourite. The oysters burst out of the crispy fried dough, releasing the ocean’s freshness in a bite.
Offering many ways to serve oysters, Wharf also serve steamed oysters in white wine. The flavor is light and fragrant, perfect for people who do not like raw oysters.
The Spanish Iberian pork (black hog) was surprisingly good. The meat is extremely tender and grilled to perfection!
The prawns were a little lackluster despite the flavors. While the cheese and herbs were great, I found the prawns to be a little overcooked.
Oysters Bar & Grill Wharf is an interesting chill-out place, with an extensive mojito menu (that is changed every quarterly). Opening till 2am in the night at the ambience at Robertson Quay, it is a beautiful spot for friends and lovers to stay up late till.
