Ricciotti celebrated its tenth anniversary last Thursday and several significant changes were undergone. One of the changes is to reflect the concept of a trendy home-style Italian meal filled with warmth and comfort. The restaurant at Riverwalk is also now just known as Ricciotti.
Ricciotti Group will be the first in Singapore to run the CrozzBorderz‘s charity solution, an innovative IT based platform promoting several charity projects for different NGOs. Customers are informed in their receipt that Ricciotti will donate a percentage of their bill to a panel of charity organisation.
To give the restaurant a more artistic feel, art pieces by Keziat Visionaria were on display. I found them very interesting as they aren’t exactly what you would call traditional sketches.
Our appetisers consisted of Carpaccio Di Polpo (sliced octopus), Asparagi Alla Griglia (asparagus), Polenta Herb Fries (polenta), Panzerotti (pizza dough with chef’s creation) and Nizzarda Salad.
As usual, the salads from Riccotti were fresh and light and having Carpaccio Di Polpo and Asparagi Alla Griglia were really good dishes for starters. Totally whets your appetite so you can eat much more.
I am going to make a guess and say that most people haven’t tasted spinach gnocchi before because most of us tried it for the first time. If you don’t like your greens, don’t worry because the cheese flavour is nice and strong and covers up any veggie flavours.
For the meats, we had cod fillet and I would think that everyone would agree on how awesome it was. Besides that was chicken skewers, grilled pork ribs and how can we forget pizzas?
We had a great dinning experience at Ricciotti and you will too!
