The recommendations are based on real-life experiences by Gig Life Asia’s creator, Priya Dewan. The 33-yearold entrepreneur is also the founder of Singaporebased booking agency and music consultancy, Feedback Asia. Dewan, who has more than a decade of experience in the music industry in the Asian and Western markets. A labour of love, Dewan spent 18 months to conceptualise and develop the portal.

Gig Life Asia also draws extensively on Feedback Asia’s network of promoters and organisers to provide consumers detailed information of their gigs. Dewan, who attends up to four gigs in Singapore and at least one festival [out of Singapore] every month, says: “I travel frequently to festivals and shows and was getting an overwhelming reaction on my social media posts from friends wanting to know more about these events and that inspired me to create this portal. “I attend many events alone and have met some lovely, adventurous people along the way who reinforced the idea that there are many people around the region and the world who would find this information useful.”
